A very good friend asked me to make a dozen Lemon CakePoPs that he wanted to have sent to his Daughter and Son-in-law for their First Wedding Anniversary. I put my creative hat on and came up with a couple decorating designs and created a custom tag for them as well. I really liked the way they turned out and can see these work for a wedding very well. Take a look ....

Summertime CakePoPs ...
A good friend asked me to make a couple dozen Red Velvet CakePoPs for a July 4th party he was attending ... so I decorated them in patriotic RED, WHITE and BLUE ... here's how they turned out!
I also wanted to try and make some CakePoPs I saw online ... they look just like watermelon when you bite into them ... I used a strawberry/raspberry cake with mini chocolate chips the double dipped them ... first in white then green candy coating. Not only were they tasty, they actually did look like watermelons! See for yourselves!

CLASS OF 2011 CakePoPs!
A co-worker has a Son graduating this year and she asked me to make up some CakePoPs to serve to her family instead of the traditional graduation cake. I make up some Chocolate CakePoPs and decorated them in the school's colors of blue and white. I also designed 3 different tags that featured some graduation type images. I'm sure they will be a hit!! Congratulations John!
Pride Rainbow Cupcakes ...
Last weekend was Pride weekend in Chicago and I've seen rainbow cupcakes before but never tried to make them. I gave it a shot ... I made up a batch of white cake and divided it up into 6 bowls, tinted each a different color of the rainbow and made up 4 dozen mini-cupcakes. Adding the colors a spoon at a time ... layering in the colors into the paper cups. It was a bit time consuming, but I think they came out great! Topped them with white buttercream frosting and multi-colored sprinkles. The were Lot's of FUN and everyone enjoyed them after the Gay Pride Parade. Here's a few pics ...

Happy Father's Day
The Drake Hotel requested I make up CakePoPs for their Father's Day Brunch ... they wanted chocolate. I found these great tag designs ... there were 5 different patterns and I used them all ... the main colors were aqua and orange ... so I colored the coating with both and topped them with white sprinkles. Hope all the Dad''s and their families enjoyed them today!! Here's a glimpse:

Century 21 Event ...
My good friend Rick requested that I make some sweet treats for a meeting he was having for some of his clients at Century 21. They were going to view an episode of TLC's Cake Boss Buddy Valastro who was commissioned to make a 1500 lb. cake for Century 21's 40th anniversary. He presented the cake at their annual convention in Las Vegas. Rick thought it was fitting to provide my Cupcakes and CakePoPs at the meeting here in their Chicago office. I made chocolate cupcakes that were filled with mint chocolate chip buttercream frosting. I also made chocolate CakePoPs that were coated with mint flavored white chocolate tinted mint green and lightly sprinkled with chocolate sprinkles. I designed custom cupcake wrappers with both company logos along with 2" round tags attached to the CakePoPs sporting the logos. He said that everything was a huge hit with the Century 21 folks. I loved this combination of chocolate and mint ... definitely a keeper recipe and will do those again! Here are a couple of pictures of the goodies.
