One of my favorite holidays is Halloween! So much fun decorating and the costumes ... so I thought I would come up with some fun Halloween CakePoPs! Here are a couple pictures of them ... I think they turned out just GREAT!

Webber Park Cafe has CakePoPs!

I was fortunate enough to be asked to provide CakePoPs as one of the menu items at the Webber Park Grill in Skokie. Recently taken over by Lynda Ross in the lobby of the Skatium. They have been a very popular item and hope they will continue to be! A nice variety of flavors are always available ... chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, lemon along with some seasonal flavors like the delicious pumpkin spice for Fall.

Rochelle & Victor's Wedding

I was honored when my friend Rochelle asked me to bake for her wedding. She wanted something a bit different so we came up with a combination of items in place of a traditional wedding cake. She did want a small cake and asked me to do a chocolate with chocolate mousse filling ... I did that and covered it in fondant and piped some floral inspired designs with royal icing, incorporating her colors of purple, green and yellow. That topped an acrylic serving tower. She also wanted CakePoPs and Cupcakes, so we did alternating layers of Red Velvet, Chocolate and Vanilla CakePoPs with layers of Carrot Cake, Chocolate and Vanilla Cupcakes all iced in her colors. I created custom Cupcake liners with their names and the date of the wedding and repeated that on custom tags tied to the CakePoPs. It turned out really beautiful and everyone LOVED it all ... especially the Bride and Groom! We all wish them many years of happiness! Here are a few pictures to share from the event.

Going Away Party Pop's!

A friend of mine tasted a new CakePoP combination that I tried ... Strawberry Lemonade! She loved them so much she ordered 3 dozen for a party for a friend of her's that was moving away. I made up a batch of Strawberry CakePoPs that were coated with Lemon flavored candy coating that I tinted a pale yellow and topped with hot pink sprinkles. I created custom tags in pale yellow with hot pink lettering that said "We'll Miss You". Ebony said they LOVED them!

Blue Energy

The Drake Hotel requested CakePoPs for an event ... they wanted them individually wrapped and custom tags that were 2 sided. One side had the Drake Dragon Logo and the other side had the event logo "Blue Energy". They got 150 Red Velvet CakePoPs coated in blue with white sprinkles ... and here's what they looked like.

A Greek Wedding Party!

A friend of mine asked me to do some lemon CakePoPs for a family wedding party. Lemon is such a prominent flavor in Greek cuisine so it was a perfect fit. He also wanted custom tags that coordinated with other party favors so I used the same font and blue color that was being used. I coated them in white chocolate with white sprinkles and just a hint of blue sprinkles as he wanted. They really turned out great and heard that they were a big hit! Congrats to the happy couple!!

Cupcake shaped CakePoPs ... Adorable!!

I finally had a chance to use my handy dandy CakePoP mold that makes CakePoPs in the shape of little Cupcakes! I made up a dozen for a special little girl ... Maddy loved them and I liked the way they turned out too!!  Here are some pics!

Butterscotch CakePoPs and Cupcakes .... YUM

I decided to try out a new recipe to make Butterscotch Cupcakes and CakePoPs ... they were a hit with my friends (a.k.a. my guinea pigs ... HA). Made a couple dozen Mini Cupcakes and about 30 CakePoPs. It also gave me an opportunity to try out my hand at decorating them using chocolate transfer sheets ... that I've been dying to try! They looked ok ... but think I need to hone my techniques! It was lots of fun!! Here are some pics ...

I gave these another try the following weekend to do a better job with the transfer sheets ... see pictures toward the end of the post. I think they look a bit better! : )
